Dr Alexander Uskov
MD, PhD | Expert in Laser Medicine
I’m Dr. Alexander Uskov, MD, PhD, a laser medicine specialist and founder of Dr USKOV CLINIC in Tallinn, Estonia.
I graduated with honors from the Medical Academy in Saint Petersburg (2001) and earned my PhD in 2006. I am the founder and President of the Estonian Society for Laser Medicine (www.elas.ee). Since 2023, I have also been teaching a dedicated course on laser medicine for medical students and doctors at the University of Tartu, Estonia.
As a physician, I focus on the laser treatment of skin-related conditions, including vascular and pigment disorders, post-pregnancy stretch marks, and post-acne scars. I also perform laser removal of artificial pigment (tattoos and permanent makeup) and provide advanced laser rejuvenation treatments for the face and sensitive areas.
I continuously expand my expertise through international training and lectures. I serve as an expert doctor of laser medicine in the Baltic States for Lumenis™ and DEKA™, leading manufacturers of medical laser equipment.

Laser medicine is advancing at a rapid pace, and many techniques that were standard just a decade ago are now outdated and replaced by more effective and safer approaches. Therefore, doctors of laser medicine have to be aware of advances and be able to adopt practices from colleagues abroad. In my work, I try to use the most relevant techniques and equipment as well as develop my own protocols for laser treatment.
In my spare time, I work on my book (of course, about laser medicine) and do sports. In 2019, I ran the first half-marathon of my life :)
